49ers

  • 49ers HC Kyle Shanahan said he is not ruling out RB Matt Breida playing in Monday’s game against the Packers. Breida is considered day to day, but did not practice today. (Matt Maiocco)
  • Breida (ankle) was later spotted walking with a “noticeable limp” on Thursday. (Matt Maiocco)
  • Shanahan said of their expectations for CB Richard Sherman coming back from Achilles injury: ‘We were expecting him to come in here and be Richard Sherman, and that’s exactly what he’s done so far.” (Ryan Wood)

Cardinals

Cardinals RB David Johnson called the trade rumors with the Eagles from earlier this week “false news” and added that Arizona “wants me here“.

It was false news. I didn’t even pay attention to that. I didn’t even think of that at all. I know the Cardinals’ organization wants me here and I definitely want to be here so it didn’t cross my mind,” said Johnson, via Josh Weinfuss.

Rams

Rams CB Marcus Peters (hamstring) said he does not feel hampered by his hamstring injury and is “100 percent.

I feel hella good. Coach wouldn’t have let me go out there and play if I didn’t feel good. I feel 100 percent,” said Peters, via Vincent Bonsignore.

Regarding Rams K Greg Zuerlein‘s groin injury, HC Sean McVay said he is “probably another week” away from fully recovering, but also feels K Cairo Santos played well in Week 5.

He’s probably another week away. I thought Cairo (Santos) did a nice job last week….Last thing you want to do is rush rush them back where they could potentially have a setback. The confidence we have in Cario enables us to be patient,” said McVay, via Adam Schefter.

  • Rams WRs Brandin Cooks (concussion) and Cooper Kupp (concussion) took part in individual drills during Thursday’s practice.
