- Lance Zeirlein of NFL Media reports that one NFC personnel director said he is not sure if top-ranked Clemson WR Mike Williams will turn into a star at the NFL level and that he will face an adjustment period when lining up against faster and more physical cornerbacks.
- As for Alabama OT O.J. Howard, one NFC general manager believes former Alabama OC Lane Kiffin “never really knew what to do with” him” and is not worried about him from a talent standpoint. The GM went on to say that all he needs to know regarding Howard is if he still “loves football.“
- An AFC East scout believes Clemon RB Wayne Gallman could succeed at the NFL level due to his physicality.
Falcons
- Ian Rapoport writes the Falcons should keep QBs coach Matt LaFleur and offensive assistant Mike McDaniel if OC Kyle Shanahan signs with another team.
- However, Matt Miller of B/R believes McDaniel becoming Shanahan’s offensive coordinator “makes a lot of sense.”
Jets
- Alex Marvez confirms with two sources that Bears LBs coach Clint Hurtt is signing a two-year contract with the Jets to become their next OLBs coach.
- Marvez is told that “at least” one other team was interested in Hurtt.
Raiders
