49ers HC Kyle Shanahan announced Monday that they will be placing S Jaquiski Tartt, TE Cole Hikutini and OT Garry Gilliam on injured reserve in the coming days.
You can expect San Francisco to either call up some players from their practice squad or sign some street agents in the near future.
The 49ers have also ruled out WR Trent Taylor (ribs), TE George Kittle (ankle) and LB Elijah Lee (knee) are definitely out for Week 10’s game.
Tartt, 25, is a former second-round pick of the 49ers back in 2015. He’s currently in the third year of his four-year, $5.037 million contract and stands to make base salaries of $615,000 and $705,000 over the final two years of the agreement.
In 2017, Tartt had appeared in nine games and recorded 55 tackles, a half sack, an interception and three pass defenses for the 49ers.
