49ers
49ers QB Jimmy Garoppolo struggled a bit during minicamp, which included one practice in which he completed just 8 of 20 pass attempts.
“I like to see Jimmy make mistakes,” 49ers HC Kyle Shanahan said, via the Press Democrat. “I like seeing him come in and work on it. I like seeing him correct what he messed up two days ago. He felt the mistake. He understood why it was wrong and then he wants to correct it himself. I want him to understand it. Sometimes when things don’t work out, you learn. You’ve got to know the whys and that’s what allows you to have continued success over time.”
Cowboys
- Charles Robinson reports that he did not sense a feeling of serious lament from the Cowboys regarding Dez Bryant‘s departure. Robinson adds that he has heard the names of some other former Cowboys vets and the void their departure left, but not Dez.

Seahawks
Seahawks WR/KR Tyler Lockett said he played at 75-80 percent last season.
“It doesn’t matter how you feel when you go out there,” Lockett said, via Pro Football Talk. “If you go out there, it’s time to go. You can’t make excuses if you don’t get open. You can’t make excuses if you don’t catch the pass. If you’re out there, everybody expects you to do the same thing if you weren’t hurt.”
The good news, however, is that Lockett says he’s now “more healthy than I’ve ever been.”
“The biggest thing is I’m more healthy than I’ve ever been,” Lockett said. “I’m out there running around, catching passes from all the quarterbacks and I’m excited about these six weeks and then after that get ready into the season.”
